This week I wanted Spring to arrive a bit early so I have been busy dyeing, blending, carding and creating some amazing art batts using my Suri Alpaca as the base fiber. Each batt is unique in colors and in materials. I used Suri Alpaca, Angora, Merino, Seacell, BFL, Silk, Bamboo, Glitz and much more. I used every Shade of Spring I could think of.
I have been adding these batts to my Etsy Shop of Wonder so you can Spin into Spring with me and enjoy the Sensational Suri Alpaca that I adore.
I would love to make this a Spin Along and have lots of people create yarns to share in my Ravelry Group of Wonder, the Wonder Why Alpaca Farm Group. So...purchase your Art Batts of Wonder in March and post your photos by the end of April in our Group. You may be lucky and win more prizes. If you mention Fiber Arts Friday in the comments of your purchase, you will receive a special added bonus gift. So what are you waiting for? Invite Spring to visit you too by Spinning up some inspiration. Now...share your adventures in Fiber Arts!

Love the spring colors. I was busy dying roving last weekend. There's something about having all those colors hanging around your house drying that lifts the spririts.
ReplyDeleteI'm in for the spin along-now just have to choose something...
ReplyDeleteI'm on a mad spinning kick right now ... I will look at your suri-magic after work!
ReplyDeleteYour batts are so fresh and lovely.
ReplyDeleteYay, Spring!!
Whoo, I missed everybody last week. I left early Friday morning for a little knitting/spinning retreat and didn't have time to post and comment on everybody's great works. I'm loving your spring batts Andrea! Happy Fiber Arts Friday.
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty. Wonderful Spring colours.
ReplyDeleteBy the way I'm having a giveaway to help raise money for Japan. I'd be really grateful if you have a look and see if you want to help: http://craftycripple.blogspot.com/2011/03/something-different.html
I've been dreaming about Spring for so long. This winter felt like years, not months.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, Thanks for your comment on the fiber arts blog.I understand your feeling about the yarn bombing. My friend participated in the Pom Pom Project and in less than 24 hours, she went back to see her little poms and they had been stolen!
The meter project I participated in was funded by an arts council, and luckily none were vandalized.
Thanks again for your support and for hosting Fiber Arts Friday!
xoxox,
Ellen

Pretty flowers and gorgeous fibre as always. Spring is doing its thing here today too, enjoying some sunshine
ReplyDeleteOf course, there's nothing like tulips to welcome Spring! Love, love, love them - and their colors. I don't spin (yet), but do love the alpacas. I think they're my favorites (along with the llamas).
ReplyDeleteI hope your alpaca + glitz batts are hits!
