Welcome to Fiber Arts Friday! Knitting, Spinning, Weaving, Crochet, Felting, Sewing...they all are a part of the wonderful adventures we share each week. I am in a weaving mindset right now so I am going to share with you a couple of creations I have made for the Buy Local Art Fair tomorrow. I am using the same pattern as the one's I've shared before but have used different colorways and a different blend of my yarns. I am excited to see which ones the customers are drawn to because I enjoy each one in their own way.

On another wonderful note...I have my "big" loom finally. I have decided to stick with the Rigid Heddle Looms for now because I really enjoy them and I'm not ready for the traditional floor loom. For some reason I just can't wrap my head around all the parts. I have purchased a 32" Ashford Rigid Reddle Loom with stand. SQUEAL! Isn't it Santariffic? Of course it is!Once the sale is over tomorrow I will take the time to warp the loom for a larger project. Maybe a lap blanket? Maybe a shawl? hmmmmm, what do you think? Now...share your adventures in Fiber Arts.

What beautiful wraps! I love the combination of different colors and textures.

Once again, loom envy! Your shawls are beautiful. I can't wait to see what you're going to make on your big one. I have so much rug yarn and I would LOVE a big loom to play with it on.
ReplyDeleteLoom envy! I love that!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I have it too. I have no room for these, so I will live vicariously through yours.
The black, red and white wrap is so so pretty!
Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
Your shawls are beautiful Andrea. The red on looks so very Christmasy. Sounds like you'll get many hours of enjoyment out of your new loom. Wishing you great success at your sale this weekend. With the little bit of snow today maybe it will get folks in the shopping mood. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!

ReplyDeleteHey, I'm with Ellen - loom envy? Very funny!!! Although that loom looks quite imposing. You'll have to keep us informed on how long it takes to warp. Your current crop of woven goodies are great! Keep up the experimenting - it's great to be creative, yes? :)

ReplyDeleteI love the weaving with pink in it. I don't normally like pink, but when it's in a plaid-y pattern, it just looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteYou've caught the cowl bug for sure! They're gorgeous. I like your new loom-can't wait to see what you make next.
